Symposium Submissions

Oral Symposium Submissions


Lead Individuals, Chair-people and Groups are invited to submit their symposium suggestion for the conference programme, alternatively you can contact Russell Pendleton directly outlining your proposal.

The symposia will consist of 90 minute sections, either split into four talks of 20 minutes and 10 minutes discussion at the end of all talks or three talks of 25 minutes and 5 minutes discussion at the end of each talk.  Timings must be adhered to strictly at the conference to allow people later in the day to speak on schedule.

Slides should be prepared in Powerpoint – there is no limit on slide numbers however a good guide is one minute per slide.  Please bear this in mind.  Where speakers provide approval, sessions will also be audiotaped for post conference Online Learning purposes.

Abstracts should be up to 500 words long and will be published in the final programme and abstract book.

Please ensure you also include all author names and relevent institutions/organizations.

Receipt of abstracts will be acknowledged. The submitting speaker/session organizer is responsible for forwarding on any acceptances, etc to the rest of the speakers.  Approval or rejection of the session will be made within two weeks of the closing date for submissions of 1 March 2013.  If you have any queries regarding the submissions process or a previous submission please contact

CME Accreditation

Global Addiction 2013 has been awarded 25 CME accreditation points by the Global Addition CME Committee.

Delegates should only award themselves 1 CME accreditation point per 1 hour spent at the conference.
