 The following list outlines the main topics that will be covered by the invited Keynote Speakers:

3.      Comorbidities – eg. HIV & Hep C

4.      Gambling

5.      Pain management, legal medications and addictions

6.      Medical use of cannabis

7.      Opioids Update

8.      Alcohol

9.      Prisons & Criminality

10.    Healthy work place

11.    Gender issues

12.    Self help

13.    Drug legislation in SEE

14.    Policy, Society, Trafficking and Governmental issues

The so-called 'novel’ addictions such as video game addictions, sex addiction, designer/club drugs, prescription drug addictions (eg. Opioid pain killers, sleeping pills, NSAIDS etc), gambling, cosmetic addictions (eg. amphetamine for weight loss, cosmetic surgery etc) continue to be of importance… and submissions on these topics will be well regarded for the conference, however as ever, any topic relating to addiction will be reviewed and can be included in the programme.


The committee is currently considering and accepting submissions on all these topics and creating the programme for the three day conference.  To join the committee please email with a short summary of your area of interest.

CME Accreditation

Global Addiction 2015 has been awarded 25 CME accreditation points by the Global Addition CME Committee.

Delegates should only award themselves 1 CME accreditation point per 1 hour spent at the conference.
